MR1100 - Configure Recommended Settings

Configure Recommended Settings for Netgear MR1100 Modem

 

 

Please note that the modem may reboot during this process and you will have to reconnect to your WiFi to resume the steps.

 

Login to your Modem                                                                     

Make sure you are connected to the WiFi network displayed on the screen of your Netgear MR1100 modem.  Once connected, open a web browser and go to "192.168.5.1" or  “192.168.1.1”

 

Enter Login Credentials

The default username is admin and the password is either admin or attadmin or kpadmin unless you have made any changes to this information after receiving the modem. 

 APN

At this point you will be prompted to select which network APN. You will choose your carrier

Wireless Settings Page

Once logged in you will the home screen. Tap the triple dash icon in the upper right corner.

         

Select settings.  Then select setup.  Then choose wireless. Scroll to the bottom of the wireless page and you will find the Global Wireless Settings. Here you will change the settings as follows in the image.

Wifi Standby: disabled.

Wifi Range: Long.

         

Mobile Router Setup Page

Navigate to Mobile Router Setup under the Setup category

The next entry down will be “Ethernet Standby”. Choose Disabled. 

save and apply settings.
